Title: Project Engineer

Who We Are:

ABC Engineering is a Houston, Texas based engineering firm. We currently have Projects in the Dallas area, San Antonio Area and the Las Vegas area with additional locations coming shortly. We are looking for a highly qualified Project Engineer who will support our core values of providing a quality of service to our clients that no other engineering firm has or will offer. Our company’s top priorities are completing the project on time and on budget while keeping the client happy.

We are looking for people with a high energy level and who are passionate about what they do. Candidates at all levels must have a can do attitude and be willing to pitch in wherever they need to be to ensure timely, cost effective and quality completion of all projects.

What You Will Do:

• Provide assistance and support to Project Manager and Superintendent as directed
• Act as liaison between ABC project team and Subcontractors
• Identify and resolve problems, especially those that may affect the cost, quality, or final delivery of a project.
• Process all submittals and shop drawings for project, including distribution of submittal logs and maintaining submittal files in office and field
• Assist owner with Scheduling updates
• Assist with project close out
• Maintain As-built drawings
• Assist PM and Superintendent with review of monthly payment application
• Maintain project management software (Prolog)
• Manage Processing of all Pos
• Support Owner in processing Subcontractor Change Orders (CO)

What You Will Bring To the Table:

• 5 to 7 years of progressive design engineering experience, with increasing responsibilities including at least 3-5 years of "in-field" experience
• Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years experience in engineering directly related to the work that ABC Engineering performs.
• On-site field experience.
• Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Critical Path Scheduling utilizing either P-3 or Suretrak. Other software experience required is Word, Excel, Prolog Manager, and Outlook for e-mail and calendar. Experience with Timberline a plus.
