D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Compliance Officer-Title. The right candidate will serve as a resource to all employees regarding the interpretation and implementation of company policies and procedures written to comply with federal, state and ALTA Best Practices and Title Insurance Underwriter requirements. 


 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Supervise personnel and manage day-to-day operations of the department

  • Monitor rules and regulations set by federal, state and ALTA Best Practices

  • Oversee and facilitate DHIT External Audit/Investigations with Federal, State, Agency, and Underwriter entities and respond to deficiencies and violations accordingly

  • Research and answer questions concerning title issues

  • Review, Edit and Create DHIT Escrow Policies

  • Review Escrow Files for compliance with corporate, state and federal rules and regulations

  • Review and approve all documents, rate tables and marketing materials for expansion into new markets

  • Review and approve Information Security Program

  • Manage all applicable licensing requirements (including CE) for DHIT, including but not limited to Escrow Officers, Agents, Branch Managers and Branches

  • Oversee and facilitate DHIT External Audit/Investigations with Federal, State, Agency, and Underwriter entities

  • Special projects as needed

  • Serve on corporate committees as assigned

  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

  • Ability to travel overnight

  • Supervises 2 or more employees


 


 

Qualifications

 

Education and/or Experience



  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university

  • Five+ years of escrow/title agency experience

  • Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license

  • Proficiency with DHIT systems including Outlook and Softpro

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications

  • Proficiency with MS Office and email

  • Ability to sit for the majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision

  • The noise level is generally moderate
